Senators on both sides of the aisle MUST hear from their constituents that they support this bill.

This legislation would create a new window period for recognition of the rights of loft tenants whose occupancy was not covered by the original, 1983, Loft Law and thus will protect thousands of NYC residents who are now facing eviction.

The purpose of this bill is to extend provisions of the Loft Law to buildings which have been occupied residentially by two or more families for any 12 consecutive months during the period starting January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2009.Geraldinehttp://loftlaw.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21554899.post-6985966302239142602009-06-09T19:19:21.128-07:002009-06-09T19:19:21.128-07:00So sad, I was hoping Chris Quinn

But he doesn't take money from special interests, and with tons of money, there's no hope of beating Billionaire Mike.Brooks of Sheffieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18297071358029060908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21554899.post-81716789608571323352009-06-09T17:21:40.341-07:002009-06-09T17:21:40.341-07:00I only wish that a couple more contenders can come...I only wish that a couple more contenders can come out of the woodwork and somehow connect with New Yorkers. I think we'd all be shocked by the response when another serious player emerges and actually tries to address Bloomberg on some serious issues.

But who else can it be? If Thompson is really serious about defeating him he better start telling us why, now. Markowitz seems like a good choice, but he's been as much a rampant developer as Bloomberg.

You've been very open about your disapproval of Bloomberg, but do you have anyone in mind for who you think would be best to replace him?

Now that I think about it, Reverend Billy is a good choice.Dannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21554899.post-50629728416229211182009-06-09T10:00:12.460-07:002009-06-09T10:00:12.460-07:00I'll go out on a limb and predict that if a fe...I'll go out on a limb and predict that if a few more polls like this come out, all the other candidates will withdraw and Bloomberg will be on the ballot unopposed.Ednoreply@blogger.com
