Although I don't remember what I ate there, I remember it being a small, cozy place. I have always been under the impression that Bananas Foster was invented there. (Makes sense, doesn't it?) Imagine my amazement when I just learned that the famous dessert was created at Brennan's Restaurant in New Orleans! I liv...I knew Mrs. Foster and ate there many times. I lived across the street.<br />One of the best restaurants I can remember. First time I ever ate peanut soup. I was reading a review of Mr. and Mrs. Fost...Hello. I was reading a review of Mr. and Mrs. Foster's Place in a Gourmet from August 1973 today and I googled it and came up with your blog post. Mr. Foster apparently died just before the restaurant was opened.
