A Good Sign: Economy Foam Center


On Houston Street, near Essex. Economy Foam isn't there anymore, but the sign remains. I bought a futon there once.

    This was one of my favorite weird stores when I lived nearby. Very oddly shaped floorplan. They moved to 8th. Nice old photo on their new webpage:
