Cemusa Gets Another One

As recently as two weeks ago, there was a find old New York newsstand here at the northwest corner of 79th and Broadway. Now: gone. The construction can only mean one thing: Cemusa.

And the clueless Spanish company is still mangling New York street names on their bus shelters.

  1. I sent several letters to NYC DOT as well as 311 online system reporting several bus shelter problems in NY City in April 2011.

    For example:

    - The bus shelter at the corner of Northern Boulevard and Murray Boulevard has no electricity.
    - The bus shelter at the corner of Northern Boulevard and 192th Street has no power at the bus information panel side.
    - The bus shelter at the corner of Northern Boulevard and Francis Lewis Boulevard has no electricity.
    - The bus shelter at the corner of Northern Boulevard and Clearview Expressway has no electricity.
    - The bus shelter at the corner of Northern Boulevard and Little Neck Parkway has no electricity.

These dark bus shelters pose danger to the public in several ways.

I have not received any response or acknowledgment from DOT. I am not sure if DOT has initiated a work order. If they haven’t, I am not informed the reasons for that.
