When I posted an old
article about "Where to Eat in New York, Circa 1934" a couple months ago, I had no idea what some of the places were. One of the mysterious forgotten eateries was the Oyster Bay Restaurant on 674 Eighth Avenue, which was described as the "Oldest sea-food and chop house in New York."
A helpful reader recently helped to elucidate the situation a bit by sending in the above postcard. Take a gander
It's one of those cheapo, tourist-bait, electronic stores now.
