Nice, hand-painted sign way the hell up on upper Broadway, at 207th, in Inwood. "Everything you need for your home and more." Don't know how old, but people say it's been around "forever."
Not quite forever. Back in the early 80's it was Dickstein's hardware and it was located on west 207th street, a block and a half east of Broadway. Sometime in the 80's the current owners took over and the store moved to Broadway just north of 207th. It's still the kind of store where you can find a little bit of everything you need - some cleaning supplies, housewares, hardware, a real old-fashioned store.
