Frank's Gets All Historic on Us

Had no idea that Frank's, the kinda-not-very-special deli on Smith Street near the Carroll Street F train stop, was so old. After years of just being your average bodega, the owners have put something on the side of the awning that says "Franks Brooklyn 1965." 44 years. It ain't nothing. But you could have fooled me. Wonder if there's a cool old sign underneath that boring plastic awning.

  1. They just bought the name. There hasn't been a relative of Frank in there since the 1980's.

Although these owners are nice, they're just trying to give themselves a history here in Carroll Gardens.
