Norah Jones Busy Punching Holes in Amity Street

Norah Jones is gonna see that Brooklyn sunset over the East River if it kills her.

As previously reported, the singer won her battle against Cobble Hill preservationists to cut out seven news windows on the formerly windowless western face of the landmarked townhouse she purchased on Amity Street. (She originally wanted ten.)

Workman are punching out holes at a steady rate. There are already two new windows on the ground floor. And today a couple guy removed a rectangle's worth of bricks on the top floor and installed a lintel.

Well, at least someone is going to get to see what the fenced-in backyard of the nearby DeGraw mansion looks like.
