A Good Sign(s): Groceries/Hardware


I've always loved this combination of signage in Chelsea—the old vertical sign advertising Groceries (I'm sure it bore another word in the past at some point) paired with the painted second-floor space proclaiming Hardware. Nice angles, nice lines. And a perfect mini-picture of mercantile New York, circa 1910.
