The Kensington Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library is still for sale for just under $3 million
. Massey-Knakal encourages would-be bidders that "Due to the close proximity of public transportation the library sees a significant amount of foot traffic on a daily basis. The property is perfect for an investor looking for a strong income producing asset in a well located safe neighborhood."
410 Ditmas Avenue, the branch's address, is on the block because the Brooklyn Public Library is building a new Kensington library at 4207 18th Avenue. It will be the first “Green” BPL library building.
