It's obvious, I know. But, for some reason (probably because it's obvious), I've never set it aside for distinction. So here it is. Hard to deny the Art Deco triumph of these awnings.
Thanks for the reminder. Like the bronze elevator doors at Macy's (formerly Abraham & Straus) on Fulton St in Brooklyn, we sometimes forget to appreciate the vestiges of classic Art Deco around us. By the way, had a fascinating time Saturday at the Brooklyn Historical Society library.
