I kinda fell in love with Brennan and Carr when I visited in for my "Who Goes There?" column. I feel a need to try everything on their menu. In the meantime, here a whole bunch more photos of the joint.
Every time I come to your site I get a feeling like the hairs rising on my back. What is it about a city like New York and its past that is so damned Romantic? Maybe the thought of all those dead souls who seemingly still wander through the streets, perhaps the layers of grime left by each person who sat at a counter and ordered a hot beef sandwich. Once a building gets fixed up or taken down then history is destroyed and all that are left are memories that themselves fade away when we die.
