So common at one time and nice to see a few around,Seems to need a paintjob as it looks like Chocolate(or worse) is smeared on the walls. I remember in 1953 using a booth (as few people we knew here had phones) and calling our family Doctor when anyone was ill, You closed the doors and a little fan came on, Imagine now talking with privacy & quiet.

One of the old book jackets lining the walls of Chumley's. Eternal Shame on Bloomberg, the City Fathers, and the powers that be that this cultural landmark has STILL not been saved and reopened.
