Home Brew

A Flickr friend shared this Brooklyn photo with me. They wrote: "Back in my day, this used to be Lauterbach's, later on it was referred to as the No Name Pub. They used to have live music, even though the bar was in the basement of a row of residences. They uncovered the "Pub" sign from the No Name days... There used to be so many bars in this neighborhood, between 4th Avenue all the way up the hill and down to Church Avenue. Years later it became a day care, but that seems to have closed."

Bizarre.

Hey, just curious...who sent you the picture? It took it back in April.

Just want to make sure credit is given where credit is due!

Oh yeah, I drank in this place back in the day when it was Lauterbach's.

It it's your picture, then you sent it to my Flickr account. I was going through the account, approving pictures that had been submitted over the last several months, and I happened up it. I believe I provide a link.

Checked in on this place a couple weeks ago.. the PUB sign is gone and the place has been gutted, sadly.
